Foot injury recovery: barre edition!
For the past 3 days, I have been doing private lessons with @craigsalstein to get my confidence and stamina back by doing a nonstop barre
I think it’s important having someone next to you to motivate and encourage you is really critical in helping push through mentally as well
If you look closely you can see so many emotions in my face — I am timid, extra concentrated, relieved that there isn’t pain, etc. — You need someone next to you who can meet you where you are at that moment

Next step in the recovery process: weight bearing!
Laying down and using the springs allows me to put weight on the pointe shoes without feeling the full force of gravity
This allows me to work my way up to fully standing on pointe!

This was the first one I happened to listen to and it’s just so him — always supportive and so loving! He had been in Vail watching me rehearse and had to leave before the last show. He clearly made sure to watch the livestream and called to tell me his thoughts. Love and miss him so much 💔

Update on my foot injury recovery🩰
I’m so grateful for each and everyone of you that has expressed concern and sent me well wishes
I thankfully have no tears, a ligament and tendon are very aggravated so I will need to rest my foot to ensure I don’t damage it any further
In the meantime, it’s physical therapy and rest for me! I can’t wait to be back onstage soon and dancing pain free🫶🏻
