The year I officially became “Veronica Valencia — the girl with the hat on HGTV” @hgtv
17 yrs. behind the scenes, and 2023 was the year that I got to formerly introduce myself to the world “on screen”. The Latina family girl who designs with her heart, grinds hard, loves hard, believes in community & connection, follows the signs and is not scared to ask for what she wants.
This year there was a lot of good, and there was a lot of hard. Building a career is extremely hard, and only harder when you are doing your best to be a present Mama of 2 kids under the age of 5. Raise your hand if you’re with me! 🙋🏽♀️ But right now the only thing I want to focus on are the accomplishments.
To my loved ones, work family & HGTV fam bam – none of this was possible without you. I love you dearly. Thank you for the support.
Here are the 2023 career highlights in Television I am BEYOND proud to share. 🕊️
✨ Featured on “Brother vs. Brother” – thank you for the invite 🔨
✨ Guest judged on “Rock The Block” not once, BUT twice 🏡
✨ Designed & hosted Season 1 of “Revealed” aired around the globe… 7 beautiful renovations. 7 beautiful families. 7 incredible stories told around the world, not only in the U.S, but in the UK and the Middle East. So unbelievably proud of my besties and team @tommyrouse @joshuathomassmithart @bohlerbuildersgroup
✨ Led the design for “HGTV’s Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge”. Worked alongside @mattel and so many of the incredible HGTV fam bam. 🎀
✨ Filmed a @walmart Barbie commercial!!! 💕
✨ Wrapped my 4th season leading design for “Help! I Wrecked My House!” with my girl @jasminerothofficial We worked on 10 massive renovations this year 💪🏽
✨ Went back to where it all started on @abcnetwork “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” – not only running the design team, BUT as a Co-Executive Producer (chills!) working alongside @abcnetwork @hellosunshine and @thehomeedit 💫 #pinchme
✨ Hosted an episode of a new iconic show on HGTV 🤫
✨ And ending the year, leading design production for Season 3 of a very special show ✨
