Not a single day goes past that I don’t think about Alex and how much we all miss him.
My darling twin brother Alex passed away last year after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. He was courageous and positive right through his treatment cycles which held the development of the tumour at bay a short while, he remained so upbeat that many people didn’t realise how ill he actually was. The devastating reality is that only 25% of those diagnosed live beyond one year.
March 1st marks the start of Brain Tumour Awareness Month @braintumourrsch asks people
to #ShineALight on those affected by brain tumours and to light a candle in support.
One in three people knows someone affected by a brain tumour, this devastating disease kills more children than Leukaemia and more women under 35 than breast cancer that is more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. This cancer needs to be understood much better to help save lives.
