Some historians trace our pre-biblical migrations to at least the 5th century, originating in present day Morocco and Mauritania, while archaeologists have traced Fula presence in Algeria back to at least the fourth millennium BC. There are many theories about Fulani means of migration (including roaming with herds of cattle, or more recently, jihads), but Fula roots can be found in many different current day expressions across Northern and Western Africa, including Cameroon, Mali, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Gambia, and Senegal. . .
