Caption : Yesterday, I took a flight alone to Bohol. @cebupacificair flew us in 20 minutes early and I started my adventures at 11am ❤️ I checked in at @amoritaresortbohol and the first thing they asked me is “What would you like to do?” Which I answered with another question…”do you have a scooter?” I dressed in full @hm from head to toe and toured beautiful Bohol ❤️ I’ve found a new island to love and call home and it’s the perfect place for me to celebrate #internationalwomensday ❤️ I was smiling the whole day, grateful for the warm sun on my skin, the green backdrop all around me, the white sand beaches right below the hotel and the kindness of everybody here. It is such a beautiful gift to celebrate the strength, fragility, intelligence, courage, humour and ability to love of a woman ❤️ Quick edit: to the people asking me who takes my videos if I’m alone, the answer is simple: strangers do. The beauty of travelling alone is that these strangers become your friends. On the first day, kuya Prime of @amoritaresortbohol toured me around bohol and I asked if he could take videos of me while we traveled, inside the cave, the local tour guide offered to film me on my phone, and in the afternoon on the beach, my friend @tracyayson who is in town with her friends, came over to meet me in Alona beach and I asked her to kindly film me, as I did for her too. Today, I went to chocolate hills and different places and the local tour guides and my driver for the day, kuya Jun and kuya Bert of Amorita also offered. If people can ask others to take group shots of them with their friends/family how is it impossible for a person travelling alone to ask people for photos too? Who do you think takes my photos with Norman when we’re travelling if not strangers too? Minsan, mema nalang talga. Which is sad. I reiterated that I traveled alone, to highlight the fact that women are capable of doing this. I’ve been traveling alone to meet my dad in Bangkok or wherever he is, since I was 13. This is easy for me. And I want it to be easy for you too. Pero minsan, nauunahan talaga yung iba ng negativity, nakakasad. Anyhoo, enjoy your lives, guys! I know I am ❤️

We always had a movie, an episode, a music video to shoot. When he went through a break up, we were taping a break up scene for MMK, he didn’t want to cry. I got mad… hi ate @lindsayanne_official and @directfromncn 🙋🏻♀️ when I realized I had to move on, we were again taping for MMK in hong kong and we were eating Pad Thai forced down by a bottle of white wine each just before he flew back to Manila. When I went through the biggest pain I’ve felt in my life, we were filming On Vodka, Beers and Regrets…hi @ayrin 🙋🏻♀️ and @paoorendain and he watched me cry in our scenes knowing fully that I wasn’t crying for my character anymore but for myself. And he just looked at me with understanding. No words. I’m tearing up as I type this because I realise now why we work. We know pain. We know our pain and we know yours. Kaya kami mapanakit, kasi nakikita niyo yung sarili niyo samin. And at the end of the day, whether this is our last film or the 6th of a hundred films…we both know that we will always be around for each other and for you guys. ❤️ our new film is produced by @viva_films who started our pairing and saw something in the two of us that we didn’t see ourselves in 2017. Thank you boss Vincent @mamagrace314 and boss Vic for gifting us a friendship that will last a lifetime 🙂 and always, thank you, Kaps! WISH YOU WERE THE ONE, soon in cinemas!

Caption : Life really is a series of highs and lows. 💔 Our dad passed away last night in his sleep and that is my only consolation in all of this. He wasn’t in pain and he hopefully was dreaming of the happy times in his life. ❤️ My sister, Ceri, told me the most beautiful thing last night…my dad loved us, his children, deeply. And he also loved himself. And that certainly is true. My dad loved life and lived his life to the fullest he could. He always knew where all the cool places were in any country he was in and the bands in bars loved him because he always sang along. I love the water and I dive deeply because he taught me to swim and be fearless in the water at such an early age. His ability to see a problem and think of several solutions first before reacting is something I try to practice. He never took no for an answer when he believed something was right and he made sure that everybody knew what “right” was. I never saw him upset…or lose his cool. Never saw him get angry or mad at anybody (in front of me). He was very empathetic but still madly funny. And he gave the best hugs, never letting go first. I will always wish for one more day, but that would be unfair. For now, and until paradise comes, the memories will tide us over. ❤️

Caption : Life really is a series of highs and lows. 💔 Our dad passed away last night in his sleep and that is my only consolation in all of this. He wasn’t in pain and he hopefully was dreaming of the happy times in his life. ❤️ My sister, Ceri, told me the most beautiful thing last night…my dad loved us, his children, deeply. And he also loved himself. And that certainly is true. My dad loved life and lived his life to the fullest he could. He always knew where all the cool places were in any country he was in and the bands in bars loved him because he always sang along. I love the water and I dive deeply because he taught me to swim and be fearless in the water at such an early age. His ability to see a problem and think of several solutions first before reacting is something I try to practice. He never took no for an answer when he believed something was right and he made sure that everybody knew what “right” was. I never saw him upset…or lose his cool. Never saw him get angry or mad at anybody (in front of me). He was very empathetic but still madly funny. And he gave the best hugs, never letting go first. I will always wish for one more day, but that would be unfair. For now, and until paradise comes, the memories will tide us over. ❤️

Caption : I had a growth spurt the summer I turned 15. I was 4’11 until 3rd year high school and returned at 5’6 in my senior year. And I was a cheerleader pretty much my whole life. But before that growth spurt… to be a cheerleader so tiny meant that there were times I would be made a “flyer.” I was always afraid of heights, and the funny thing about that is you’d be thrown so high up in the air that your breath just catches in your throat. But I was more afraid to tell anyone what my weakness was. One challenging practice day as a flyer, my knees were shaking so visibly and I just couldn’t land any of my falls properly. I was a dancer at heart not a flyer and I just wanted to do the floor routine. I knew it was exasperating for everyone but I didn’t want to quit. I walked back to my school bus in tears but I heard one cheerleader running after me-Lovi. She asked me if I was ok. And that was exactly what I needed at 14. And she was always very intuitive about these things. Lovi and I went very different paths in our careers. We all know that our industry is very cutthroat and that the competition is intense. But we never vied for the same roles or stayed in the same place. From time to time in the last 15 years, I would see Lovi and we would catch up and kind of give each other a progress report, if you will 😂 and we were both moving steadily towards our respective goals. It seems like we unintentionally drift in and out of each others lives but this milestone was something I loved to see. Her wedding is the lightest, most fun but genuine one I’ve been to. Their vows were perfect, the speeches, heartwarming…and the dance floor was full till they cut the music at Cliveden House. Even when it rained during the ceremony, people stayed until she and Monty took cover. And it was so nice to be a spectator on a moment so special. I don’t think I ever got to say thank you to Lovi for asking me how I was that day in 2004. Thank you, Lovi. For being a genuinely lovely person. Caption : My sweet Sputnik ❤️ Sputnik was a gift to me. He was three months old when we first met. I was 19. And we walked through life together for the last 14 years, in the best way we both knew how ❤️ he was the kindest, most patient, most affectionate little cat. He was a baby, a teen, a full grown cat and eventually an old and wise companion that watched over me through the best and worst times of my life. I always used to say, “Sputnik just knows.” I was under no impression that Sputnik would live forever. But I also wished he was going to be here one day when I grew into who I was meant to become in life. But he saw me try my best, always, and I think he was proud. I saw him one last time yesterday. His bones were on my fingertips and he tried to fight as hard as he could. A few minutes before they were gonna close the clinic he tried to get up one last time and leave with me. I’ve never felt more helpless and ashamed of not being able to make his last day free of pain. Everytime I flew back here I tried to figure out how he could be with me in London. I wanted him to be home with me, wherever home was. I know I’m gonna carry this loss with me everywhere I go and I know I’m never going to get over missing Sputnik. But I will figure out how to do that one day at a time, with Sputnik in mind. ❤️Thank you for waiting for me, Sputnik. Yesterday to say goodbye. And everyday for the last 14 years.
