Caption : I’m going to post a few photo dumps today but wanted to highlight my happiest moment of the year first: bringing Marilyn Harris (@crazycoolgrandma) on stage in Anaheim. Not only is Marilyn kind and hilarious, she understands the assignment. Marilyn did not miss a beat and came out POSSESSED by Andres Grandma. It was amazing seeing this character come to life again after so many years. But the reactions! It was all of your reactions that made this so special. I’ve been to a million concerts and have never experienced energy like this. The genuine shock and excitement from the audience was unbelievable. After the show everyone backstage agreed: we’d never heard cheers like this. It was like the Beatles reunited and came out on stage it was so loud. So thank you all, but first off thank you Marilyn! Hopefully someday we can have a spin-off of our own together. The Adventures of Robbie and Andre’s Grandma.

Caption : In the summer of 2013 Nickelodeon gave me a tiny bit of money to record four-five comedy skits to put on their website. This…is what I did with that money. We shot this all in one long crazy day, pretty much in chronological order. Fun fact, the announcer during the Arthur Storybook Pudding Cup commercial is Bill St. James, the voice of every Nickelodeon promo from the 90s! I was very grateful for this opportunity, it was my first time writing something and getting a feel for organizing a production and making my own creative decisions. It was posted on the Nickelodeon website for a few years but I can’t find it anymore. Thus, I’m uploading it here.

Caption : Here’s another classic from the Matt Bennett archives! CARaoke with Matt Bennett! In 2011 I had an idea. What if you got celebrities to do karaoke…while driving in a car. Yeah, for real, I did this years before it became a thing. This was filmed over one afternoon with my pal @contentmonster. I would change shirts every three songs to keep it feeling dynamic. We started filming a second one that had cameos from the Victorious cast and some friends of mine but, as so often happens, we got distracted and forgot about it. My loss, James Corden’s win.

Caption : Took the week to process the whole UK/Europe tour and man, what an adventure that was. I want to thank every one of you who came out to a show again, it’s not lost on me how lucky I am to be able to travel the world meeting and playing for you. I do want to highlight this one moment quickly because ive never had anything quite like it happen to me before. About halfway through the Paris show, all the power in the venue went out. I’m told they thought the projector was going to catch fire so they cut all the power to the stage. So I’m up there, no sound no video no microphone, trying desperately to figure out what the heck happened. And from the back of the room, the audience starts chanting… The White Stripes? And then went into an unprompted acapella version of Breaking Free from HSM? You all kept singing, keeping the energy and the show alive, until finally after what felt like an eternity the power came back on and we were able to get the show moving again. I don’t have any footage of it besides this really quick clip but Paris, just know that was very nice and helpful, completely took me by surprise and meant so much to me. No two shows of the Party 101 tour have been the same. I’m constantly trying to make it more engaging and make it flow better. It’s really reassuring to know you have my back even when disaster strikes. Ok thank you that’s all!
