Bill Duke Instagram – ATLFF is proud to present a screening of Bill Duke’s 1992 film DEEP COVER, followed by an intimate Q&A with Mr. Duke in Atlanta.
ATLFF will also present Mr. Duke with the Ossie Davis Award for Innovation in Filmmaking. In the last nearly 20 years since our organization first introduced this award, the Ossie Davis award has only been received by 4 honorees: Spike Lee (2005), Cicely Tyson (2006), John Sayles & Maggie Renzi (2007) and Keke Palmer (2023). These, like Mr. Duke, are all multi-hyphenates that have left an indelible mark on cinema and television.
