Brandon Prust Instagram – My first year with the Habs and my 1st time in Boston in a Habs uniform. I know it’s our #1 rivalry. We are down 2 1 in the 2nd and not playing very well. I definitely don’t want to fight lucic because he’s a killer but I need to let the bruins and my teammates know I’m full in on this rivalry. We drop em and I just tried to not get killed. And maybe get lucky if he makes a mistake or 2. He doesn’t really make a mistake because he doesn’t make many. HE also knows I can take advantage of ppl’s mistakes lol (I did win our 1st fight 😉) .. but we had a spirited bout at the end of our shifts, so not super exciting lol but the boys loved it and respected it. That’s when I officially became a Hab in that dressing room. But the best was yet to come. 1 of my favourite moments as a hockey player.
Michel Therrien and I had a great relationship. 1 of my favourite coaches. But we also butted heads sometimes. Only because we were both passionate about winning and also both stubborn assholes. His speech in the 2nd intermission was 1 of the most respectful and emotional moments of my career. Cherry on top, we came back and won 3 2!
