Daniel Barenboim Instagram – 25 Years West-Eastern Divan Orchestra: Concert at the Berlin Philharmonie on April 15, 2024
Led by Maestro Daniel Barenboim, the musicians will mark the orchestra’s 25th birthday with a concert at the Berlin Philharmonie, while at the same time reinforcing their passionate commitment to its mission.
In addition to Bruckner’s “Romantic” Symphony No. 4, the program includes Felix Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto with soloist Yamen Saadi, a Barenboim-Said Akademie alumnus and former concertmaster of the Divan who has held the same position with the Orchestra of the Vienna State Opera for the last two years.
