Goodbye Uncle Pete 💔
TOUR LOVE The work of Again² dates back to last October at @rueboyer where @natesalon and I did the first Again rebuilds. It took @freekatet and I most of the winter to figure out how to present the show. We approached miniaturization the same way a spartan arrangement lends itself to a impactful mix. Building on top of @naetboyce incredible Rebuilds videos, we took the idea of generic EDM concert rigging and fx to create something super personal. A liquid flow of abstract “set pieces” emerged. Mini puppets were cast in silicone and controlled by wires, rods and servos. Our “main character” exists as 4 little bodies with swappable heads that seem to add up to a psychic whole. Every tiny sharpie was real. A mini “noise table” was clad in 3D printed replicas of gear I likely would have coveted had I taken a different path back in the day. We scored it by pulling from 15 years of opn discography, taking old sounds and applying them to new tracks and vice versa. Freeka experimented on the fly with illusionistic layers of live camera work, video projection, fog and lighting on tiny and full-size scales. It’s a world of unconscious images that express themselves as music and the other way around… None of this is possible without a big collective effort and I’m super grateful to @freekatet @naetboyce @natesalon @p_op_e , Alex P and everyone at @electronic_music_company for going so hard on this. Special thx to @onlineceramics merch team, @eikoishibashi @oklou_ @elikeszler @modularprincess for joining us on tour, @kurtvile @sarahsquirm @mabefs for being guests of honor in Brooklyn. Love you all and hope to do this sometime Again³, but not too soon please 🛌 Xod photo credit @buscar_photo

checking out this game Hell, which immediately diagnoses you with depression 🤙
It’s moving day, which is when I once again encounter this shard of wood @anohni snapped off of a broken chair that was once William Basinski’s — the one he sat on while recording Disintegration Loops in ‘01. A special gift, and my only real talisman! 🗝🗽
“‘movement” has a narrow edge to it. “motion” Sounds like a washing machine . Clark Coolidge! Makes me think of my time in the studio with @davidbyrneofficial . First of a few we did together is now streaming on the platforms. Enjoy 😉
