Dean Lewis Instagram – 5 years ago today I released an album that changed my life called “a place we knew”. I put it together over a couple years as mostly while touring. These are some photos from the day I recorded “be alright”. I didn’t really fully know what kind of artist I wanted to be back then, and I pieced the album together, and tried throwing everything at the wall and seeing what worked and felt right. Now looking back I think there is so much creativity in not exactly knowing where the line was. This album gave me you guys, it gave me a place in the world, it has let me tour the world for the past 5 years. I’m writing this from Virginia right now, as I listen to the final mixes on my 3rd album. I can’t believe how far I’ve come and that I can still do this and you guys are with me… And part of the reason I’m so excited is because I feel like I’m finally back at that place I was when I wrote this album, excited and throwing things at the wall again to see what sticks. I think this 3rd album will be my best since the first. Thankyou for anyone who has stuck with me for these years!!
