Derek is a Hollywood and Disney actor who is known for his philanthropic efforts. His dream was to be an Air Force pilot but was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes when he was three years old. After finishing his degree in pre-medicine, he decided to move to Los Angeles to pursue his acting aspirations.

Derek has acted in several box office films, including Shark Killer and Secret Summer along with hit TV series Baby Daddy and The Middle. When he’s not acting, Derek travels the country using his influence to speak to kids about fitness, health and advocating for Diabetes.
