Fiann Smithwick Instagram – I found this beautiful 3D nautilus fossil on the Jurassic Coast a few days ago freshly washed out of the Jurassic clay. The sea had done all the hard work on this one, cleaning it up and leaving it sitting there for me to find! If it hadn’t been found, the next tide would have beaten this fossil up a lot and would have eroded away lots of the detail of its preservation.
