Quick beautiful trip to the Bay. Made it to Temezcal with Calpulli Huitzilopochtli, always an honor to sit and sweat with everyone on Sacred Ohlone land. I didn’t grow up traditional, or knowing about ceremonies/ community. Grew up proud to be brown knowing I was Mexican and knowing we had indigenous roots but not from where. S/o mi hermano @bacjo_ helping ignite that, he invited me to my first temezcal when I was 22 at a Lakota brothers place back in SA and I’m so grateful, also to my carnal @java85 and his son Leo being that bridge for me and community in the Bay. Grateful to have the opportunity to sit up in spaces with amazing people, having the opportunity to sit with sacred plant medicines. Grateful to find these ancestral ways of living/ healing.. Tlazohcamati creator for this journey en el Camino rojo. 🪶 Also dropped in on one of my favorite people Tio Don. If y’all know my story when I started training in Hayward with Virgil earlier in my 20’s you know how much OG means to me. Talking bout the days where I wasn’t making enough bread in my fights to have transportation or a nice stay. Id take my skateboard and get around on the BART, staying at a trap motel during these camps and Don would pick me up everyday to go to the gym, until my fights got bigger. East Oakland born n raised and still wild for his age lol him and his wife always welcomed me and made sure I was good, thats Tio fr. 🤎🤞🏽
