In the initial writing stages of this project, I was interested in the idea of enforcing a handicap in order to alter my writing process: to not play the guitar, my main instrument. I scored the album on keyboards, bass and drums and recorded nearly all of the instrumentation on the record myself. After some preliminary sessions at Strongroom Studios in Shoreditch, I ended up finishing the record at Tesla Studios in Sheffield where I also cut my debut EP ‘Feed The Flames’ as well as my 2020 LP ‘Graveracer.’
This is not a new era, so to speak, more of a dark-pop experiment, a moment in time.
