Miss Coco Peru Instagram – This is David. My mother found him in her church’s charity shop and felt sorry for him. He was naked and abandoned and, although she knew it was ridiculous to feel sorry for a doll, she wanted to comfort him. So, she bought him, took him home, knitted him this outfit and named him David.
Last night my mom had one of her nightmares and woke up yelling, “Where’s my baby?” She was frantic and crying and, because of the dementia, it was real to her. Not knowing how to comfort her I saw David sitting there with her other dolls and I grabbed him and said, “Here’s your baby!”
She held him and smiled.
We always laughed at my mom needing to comfort an abandoned doll, but last night David was able to return the favor.
