I must confess I haven’t been dancing much lately and my body and soul feel it. There’s been classes on my radar and songs I’ve been wanting to move to but have been caught up life’ing that I’ve not been making time. Everything in life feels better when I dance often.
With that said, I intend to be dancing more and sharing more of it. Hope that’s cool with ya’ll! 😉
Funny story, in the gym the other day I overheard a conversation where a girl was telling her guy friend that her date was cancelled because the man she was going on a date with wanted to take a dance class. His response was basically “you know he’s not a keeper if he’s a grown man taking dance class.”
I just laughed to myself and thought how silly this guy was… dance has not only been the greatest gift of my life, took me around the world, introduced me to all the people I love most, opened my awareness to so much culture, spirituality and wellness, paid my bills and has helped me through all of my most challenging moments. Dance is an international love language and something us humans have been doing forever. Poor guy is missing out on one of life’s greatest gifts.
My best advice to anyone listening (myself included) is to dance more.
