I am proud and grateful to be part of the #Runner321 Team. Created by the trailblazer, @chrisnikic, our goal is to create opportunities and show what’s possible for neurodivergent athletes and anyone with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Being a Support Runner and Guide is my most meaningful athletic endeavor. I just love seeing our athletes excelling in every way, combating stereotypes, blazing new paths, and building confidence and community through achieving new milestones. The best part of the marathon was seeing our family and friends along the way (Mom, Dad, and Emily — thank you for a half marathon celebration I’ll never forget), as well as all the people with Down Syndrome and other IDD who were inspired by our athletes.
CONGRATULATIONS to Thomas, Albert, and Chris on their epic finishes. You’ve put in so much hard work and overcome many obstacles to earn that Boston Marathon Medal! 🦄
