Rhett McLaughlin Instagram – It’s difficult to convey how much this means to us NC State fans. We’ve stood by for years as our blue neighbors to the northwest entered and re-entered the national spotlight over and over. When people hear that we’re from NC, they ask “Duke or Carolina?” and we sheepishly say, “NC State.” We’ve been living off the echoes of our glory days, eager to remind folks that we’ve got the best story in college basketball history with the ‘83 Cardiac Pack, but simultaneously worried that we may never return to that form. And now, somehow, beyond all expectations, we have pulled off the impossible. After what was shaping up to be a disappointing season, we have put together the most unbelievable run I’ve ever witnessed. My heart is with this team regardless of where we go from here. We know who we are. We’re the Red and White from State.
