At Jacare Martial Arts , we are committed to providing opportunities and developing potentials, regardless of the circumstances. Recently, we had the honor of taking two of our students,to participate in an exhibition fight at a Jiu-Jitsu competition. They are incredible children, who have found in Jiu-Jitsu not only a martial art but also a source of personal and emotional development.
Witnessing their journey from arrival to the moment they earned their medals was absolutely inspiring. From weigh-in to the fight, win or lose, every moment was an achievement of courage and perseverance. Seeing how they faced the arena full of competitors, feeling the adrenaline of the competition, fills us with pride and hope.
Jiu-Jitsu not only helps them in motor development, but also has an incredible impact on the development of social skills, and emotional regulation. We have observed significant improvements in their social skills, the reduction of stereotypes, and the ability to deal with rigidity, something so common among children on the autism spectrum.
At Jacare Martial Arts we believe that no diagnosis defines what a person can achieve. Every child, regardless of their circumstances, has unlimited potential. We are incredibly proud of every student who is part of our family. This is just one story among many that inspire us daily. We hope to continue contributing to the development of each of them, in every aspect of life.
