I don’t post like this, but this special to my heart that we just released our first movie MUSICA on Amazon Prime. It is a Brazilian American romantic comedy. Over 10 years ago my brother @john and I met someone special to us and our family, @rudymancuso. His dream was to always direct his own movie. The strategy was to create great YouTube sketch comedy videos & musicals with no boundaries first then take those ideas and turn it into a movie. Our first venture together was the hilarious @awkwardpuppets. It took off immediately and we have had a blast releasing videos with our friends. In 2017, Rudy started developing the script, which was to make a movie of his life story through music. He wanted to be the Creator, Writer, Composer, Director, and Actor of the film. This project was a long shot. Why? Everything about it was different and not “normal”. Together we assembled a team of talented believers from writer Dan Lagana & producer Mary Viola. We had open communication from Day 1, no ego, and a lot of respect (very important in any business, project, etc). In 2019, we started pitching, and received a lot of Hollywood no’s then Amazon Studios gave us a big YES. Then…everything went wrong… Changes in industry, COVID lockdown, writer strikes, budgets, the list goes on, BUT Rudy, the team & our partners at Amazon Studios never gave up and took the punches and kept pushing forward. Finally, something incredible happened. The amazing @camimendes read the script, loved it, and wanted to be part of the movie as lead role & co-producer. And now today… it is available on @amazonprime! Moral of the story… Don’t give up. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this long journey with us, especially for Rudy. We had an opportunity to speak at the @schuhpubs beer conference about Happy Dad and its success the last 2.5 years. 2 years ago I flew in on a redeye to the conference with no sleep to learn about the alcohol business. We only had 4 employees at that time and selling in only 5 states. Harry and his team at Beer Business Daily immediately made me feel like family in the alcohol world. Since then we have hired 108 incredible employees and soon to be selling in 35 states and 2 countries in only 2 years at @happydad Thank you @bevbizblonde for an incredible event.
