Here with Father @robertfrippofficial at @mccabesguitarshop 3.3.24 where he gave an enlightening talk with David Singleton to a packed house of enthusiastic ears, mine being a pair of them. I was fortunate he was in town and accepted to meet with me. I respect and admire this man tremendously. Since 1969, his brilliant musical mind reinvented a music genre twice. His fiercely disciplined and unique guitar technique is untouchable to all but him and he is a marvel. We had a lovely chat about BEAT and I was relieved and thrilled to know he gave it his blessing, and even suggested the name. When I asked him what he had thought when he heard I was in the band, he replied “you are the only one that can play my guitar parts.” I found myself in a rare state of gob-smacked speechlessness because I know that nobody can play Robert’s guitar parts like him.

I was honored beyond beyond when I received the invitation to contribute to this historical track and its charitable intentions to raise funds for @teenage_cancer and its American equivalent @teencanceramerica. The list of contributors is stunning. Listening to this recording, hearing all these iconic musicians giving their unique voices and how they interplay with each other, support each other, and the distinctiveness of their voices on the instrument all lead me to believe that this recording is a miracle.
