Commissioned by @creativetime, The World’s UnFair by the New Red Order is located on an empty lot in what is currently referred to as Long Island City, Queens.
Considered the fastest developing neighborhood in New York City, LIC has seen over 20,0000 apartment units built since 2010. While some might consider this progress, others have a different idea of what ownership should look like. At The World’s UnFair, New Red Order reminds us that if colonization happened over 500 years, decolonization will happen over 500 years, parcel-by-parcel.
