[ the magic ✨] of release. It took me soooo long to release the need to explain, over explain, try to convince, kajul, try to get understanding from, etc. BAYBEEE!! The freedom that comes with knowing my truth and standing on that so much so that I don’t have to prove ANYTHING to ANYONE is life changing. “Oh that’s what you heard me say? That’s wild” “1 1=5 cool math thanks for sharing” “Wow! I did that with who?When? Interesting” 🤭😂 One thing I’ve learned in this last season was honestly and truly you can lead with love and kindness and some people just aren’t ready for that, and that’s not your fault. Nor is it your responsibility to show them the light or make them appreciate yours. It’s MY job to cultivate my light, shine brightly, and appreciate all that I am. Those who are ready will see it and those who my light is meant to shine brightly with will be around. The ease that comes when people and things are meant for you is your sign. [ merry christmas ] I find it interesting how during this time of year some choose to move into what they want in the new year and how the new year will be before reflecting on all that this current year as given us. In a practice of staying present I try to make sure I honor it by reflecting on the present year and when I do; I can only find gratitude for all that I’ve been blessed to encounter, both the good and “bad”. Some of my greatest joys have come to me in this interesting year and I thank God for them! New friendships, blossoming in my femininity, the chance to slow down/recharge, closeness to family, traveling, and deep love. Someone once told me “Every time you get faced with adversity, its a new opportunity for you to measure your growth.
