“It’s a complicated and personal choice. I admire the courage of women who have done it before me.” Bianca Balti, discovered she suffered the BRCA1 genetic mutation and decided to undergo a preventive double mastectomy thinking about what she would like her daughters to do. Now, she uses social media to proudly show her scars and hopes to inspire people who, like her, are going through the same thing.
