Inappropriate most of the time, but you always knew how he really felt.
It was precisely part of his charm.
Equal parts ornery as admirable.
Always brought me flowers to my graduation…. every year.

And let’s not forget, a car he was ‘fixing up’ in the yard of everyone he knew.
