Carol Vorderman Instagram – HOUSES BOUGHT AFTER PPE AND COVID PROFIT

As the Tories and their papers continue to bang on about whether or not Angela Rayner owes £1,500 Capital Gains Tax on a council house she bought in 2007. James Daly MP has also reported her to the police on allegations he then refuses to name. Pathetic.

Russell Scott, an excellent investigative journalist who often works with @goodlawproject took a stroll through the PPE Avenue of houses bought with Covid profits. Let’s look at just some of those properties bought by execs and others who benefited hugely from enormous PPE deals during the pandemic

Pic 2 £7.25 million stately home bought in July 2020 by Zoe Ley who made £20 million profit for brokering a contract alongside a former Tory MP Brooks Newmark

Pic 3 £1.5 million pad bought by Tory donor and former Tory councillor Steve Dechan after he secured a £200 million contract for PPE

Pic 4 The $9.5 million pad bought by Gareth Hales, the founder of Unispace which secured £679 million in PPE deals via the VIP Lane after contacting Michael Gove

Pic 5 The £30 million Caribbean villa bought by owners of the PPE Suppliers Full Support Healthcare after receiving over £1 billion of PPE contracts.

Pic 7 Execs in an American firm which benefited from UK govt Covid deals. Two new Gulfstream jets bought and two multi million dollar homes. When the estate agents asked for proof they could buy the homes, one of the execs handed over a bank statement showing a $128 million deposit into the company’s account from the UK government.

Pic 8 The Covid tests supplied but the American firm were then questioned for accuracy.

Pic 9 Exec who supplied unusable PPE bought two mansions

Pic 10. Chemical Intelligence Ltd had two employees and two years of losses when it landed £126 million contract for PPE. @opendemocracy found that £27 million of it was deemed ’not fit for use’ by the NHS. The company’s fortunes were turned around and declared £33 million profit in September 2020.
