To know the darkness
Outside and within
To let it just suck
When it’s clear you can’t win
To know when the balance
Needs time to align
When your patience is a virtue
When you bend and shape time
When you find what light you can
Even just a sliver
When you’re grateful for what is
When you embrace the shiver.
The center is a stop
On a wild and bumpy ride
Can you carry your contentment
When your world is on its side?
I cherish this darkness
For to me, it means rest
But there’s more shades of it now
Different versions of my best.
All I can say is do less
Breathe more and smile lots
Whatever feels heavy, will be clearer
When you connect the dots.
Give yourself grace.
Let your patterns dissolve
Because you’re not alone in this darkness.
And if we allow it to be,
It can help us evolve.
