Dayle Haddon Instagram – My dear friend and director Just Jaeckin left us yesterday afternoon. He was someone who held so many beautiful qualities, kindness, generosity, humility, humor and a great talent, often underestimated. He was a dear friend and I was fortunate enough to have worked on two films with him. I’m so glad I was able to be in Paris when the fabled Paris Cinematheque celebrated him and presented our film, The Last Romantic Lover, a fairy tale beautifully filmed with a real circus in the Spanish countryside..in a new edition. ( we actually performed for the people there) It was wonderfully received and he was in great spirits celebrating with his longtime friends, Cosa Gavras and Philip Labro among others…and finally getting his due for his amazing talent. He loved women..independent, strong women and made us all look beautiful with his care. He called me a few days ago to say he was leaving and with such calm, and love, I was moved to tears and inspired by his bravery. May we all go to the other side with such grace. 🙏 Just, I love you. I was lucky to know you and to work with you. You are and always will be a light in this world.
