Debra Messing Instagram – #REPOST @henmazzig There’s not much to celebrate about this ruling, there’s no “winning” side and Israel should not have been accused of any of it to begin with and the court’s ruling overlooked many of the atrocities committed by Hamas, its tactics against civilians, and the IDF’s efforts to minimize civilian harm. Nonetheless, it has emerged that the world has been lied to by Hamas and its supporters. The ruling of the International Court of Justice is phrased in mild language, and the Israeli army is already in compliance with them. They call on Israel “not to commit genocide” but not saying that Israel does. By not calling for an immediate ceasefire, the court says “there was enough evidence to prove that no genocide* is being committed”(otherwise they would accept South Africa’s case and urge Israel to stop immediately— logic.) Yes, they have called for the immediate release of the hostages, (positive), and for some Israeli politicians to be held accountable for their poor statements. (Also good) Thus, Hamas and Iran-backed South Africa’s legal team failed, with all their lies, to convince the court that Israel is committing genocide or war crimes for the court to rule for an immediate ceasefire. The court found that Israel has the right to defend itself against the terrorist organization, and did not call for a ceasefire. Thank you ICJ for recognizing that Israel is not breaking rules of war in its defense of Hamas (and Hezbollah and Houthis) aggression. May Hamas release the hostages immediately, and surrender, so peace may be possible between the Israelis and the Palestinians.
