Dehenna Davison Instagram – Over £6 billion to improve healthcare in our area❗️
Last week I received an update from the Department of Health on what is being done to improve health and care in our area. Below are a few points from this update!
💷The North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board has been allocated £6.42 billion of investment to make the system faster, simpler and fairer for patients.
👩🏼⚕️In County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust, there were 78 more full-time-equivalent doctors and 123 more nurses in September 2023 than there were in September 2022.
🩺In our constituency there were 83 more full-time-equivalent direct patient care staff working in general practice in September last year than compared to September 2019.
🥼The Government is also investing in research equipment and technology, and County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust and the North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust were among a group of organisations jointly awarded £4,432,787 to purchase equipment for a variety of clinical research areas.
This is an incredible amount of investment in our area, but of course there is so much more to do and I will continue to push for all I can for our area. | Posted on 17/Apr/2024 13:01:04
