Gessica Généus Instagram – I call it magic “maji” when things align in life in a way that keeps you wondering how… How did I stumble upon @njoachim ‘ s work in 2019 when I was shooting FREDA. She was just nominated for the @recordingacademy for “Fanm d’Ayiti” and I couldn’t stop listening to the album. Particularly Madame Bellegarde. My team on my film set would rush to stop me every time I would put that song… cause they know I was about to cry uncontrollably… So of course I had to look for @njoachim everywhere on earth calling every friend I knew that could be connected to her… Today I call her a friend a sister and it’s a privilege for me… when she ask me to put a camera on her sacred place DANTAN, her little village… I could sense that something magical was happening… @kekerex_12 the director of photography @sephora_monteau the camera assistant both also great friend of mine both sat with me on the roof top of Nathalie’s family home to listen to “KI MOUN OU YE” her latest masterpiece….
