Heather Headley Instagram – Growing up in Trinidad, this was one of my dreams: To have the grades, ability, finances, opportunity to one day be able to attend the University of the West Indies. We moved to America, and my educational journey took me to another amazing institution, but UWI, still stirs up something in me. I know prominent people of #Trinidad, the #Caribbean, and beyond who have gone there. I have family members who have studied there. Even work there. So, you can imagine how humbled I am to be honored in such a way by the university. It’s amazing to be in such a company of Caribbean notables, and also to join with the graduating class as they begin their own notable journeys outside of the university. Thanks to #UWI. I’m going to make my children call me Dr. Headley…just because I feel like they should. They should be relieved. They were getting so aggravated every time I demanded they refer to me as, Your Royal Highness 😄! @uwi_staugustine @loopnewstt
