Heather Headley Instagram – Ladies…It’s my time of the month! Well…my time of the year! For days before I walk up to this machine, I’m nervous. Anxious. Praying. I’m so aware of the women and their stories, the relief, the concern they must have as I sit in the waiting room with them, dressed in my pink gown, carrying my own story. My own concern. My own relief. I have friends, strong beautiful, amazing women, who have been stung by this disease. And like the warrior women they are, they fought back…and fought well. In their honor, for my family, and as a responsible steward of my own body, I check in and check ‘them’ out. Remember to check your girls out too…however you choose to… The girls deserve the attention 😉! (I told the sweet nurse I was going to get something indulgent now that it was over. She recommended a coffee…I was thinking fries and carbs 🤷🏽‍♀️! ) #breastcancerawareness #women 🩷
