Iliza Shlesinger Instagram – When a career is part of your heart it’s really hard to pull back, honestly, even for a little to do something huge (or as easy, as society would have you believe) like having a baby. And the truth is? You can’t do it all. You actually can’t without help and feeling bad and then feeling ok then taking a break and then starting over again… and this can happen several times a day. And I’d be lying if I said this has all hasn’t been exponentially harder since Oct 7. But… You can only take brakes and miss whatever it is you aren’t focused on. That can be me emotional in a green room because I miss my babies. That can be me anxious because I’m with my baby and want to be back doing stand up. That can be me spending time on both and still feeling… absolutely worthless. Then fully ready to tackle everything… all of these emotions can be contained in the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee. But one thing I know in my bones is that stand up comedy makes everything better. And this 2024 tour is gonna be incredible and this new hour is my favorite one. Dates announcing soon.
