Jacqui Lewis Instagram – Reflecting on the life of Jesus—a Palestinian Jew—slain by the empire, we’re reminded of countless individuals whose lives have been cut short by oppressive laws and the insidious grip of power and hate.
Trans rights face unprecedented assaults in our nation’s corridors of power. Policies and bills wielded by those in authority aim to obliterate our siblings’ narratives, stripping them of rights, healthcare, and bodily autonomy.
In mourning Jesus, we mourn not only him but for ALL who are holy, sacred, and deeply cherished.
While extensive records recount Jesus’ journey, the same comprehensive documentation doesn’t exist for these women. Out of 45 reports thus far unearthed (source: tdor.translivesmatter.info/reports), with an additional 7 acknowledged by the Human Rights Campaign, today we honor these 7 women.
