Jeanette Aw Instagram – I feel time goes by too quickly. I’ve been meaning to post this self drive trip to Takasaki but well, plans don’t always go according to schedule. So here it is. This is one stop that I always try to make, a visit to Kannon. Maybe because it’s such a calm and peaceful place, and it’s also where so many memories were made. From filming Ramen Teh, filming my own short film Senses, and my numerous trips here as ambassador, this place is just special to me ❤️
Jeanette Aw Instagram – I painted my very first Daruma doll in 2017 and I later featured it in my short film, Senses. Over the years, I’ve received several Daruma dolls. A few really special ones would be a custom made Daruma wearing the Le Cordon Bleu chef whites, one looking like a merlion, and a big gold one in my patisserie, with Once Upon A Time inscribed on it, gifted by the Daruma master himself. Other than being a symbol of good luck, do you know people often make a wish on a Daruma doll as well? You fill in the left eye of the Daruma while making a wish and when your wish is fulfilled, you fill in the other eye. 🤓
