Jo Cooke Instagram – Lauren was one of our brides whilst we were filming Curvy Brides Boutique. Throughout her appointment Lauren was extremely brave and honest and shared how she had battled with her mental health in the past which had resulted in her self harming.
Having embraced her scars, Lauren chose this stunning strapless dress.
Lauren had very kindly agreed to share her experience
“I was very nervous to try on a dress let alone when it was going to be on TV!
I was also scared about showing my scars, as you know I wanted a dress with sleeves to hide them but Jo and Al helped me build confidence into owning my scars. I shouldn’t be ashamed of them they tell a story of what I have been through and show I got through it and I hope my episode helped other people that things do get better, My dress made me feel powerful and like a new woman and I felt so beautiful and that’s all Down to Jo and Al x”
