Joanne Peh Instagram – I’m an actress, and after all these years of being immersed in the world of make-believe, I hold a profound belief in the transformative power of storytelling. In school, knowledge is often compartmentalized, but my advocacy for lateral thinking led to the inception of the Silk Series bilingual workshops. Silk, with its rich history and multifaceted nature, becomes a gateway to exploring science, art, culture, music, history, and geography. This interdisciplinary approach underscores the interconnectedness of knowledge, the intertwining of stories, and the importance of empathy, creativity in problem-solving, and the humility to learn from diverse perspectives. Through @thedimpleloft, I seek to kindle in children the same wonder and imaginative freedom that once defined my childhood, encouraging them to see beyond the boundaries of conventional learning and embrace the infinite possibilities that creativity and storytelling hold.
