Joanne Peh Instagram – On this eye-opening “I-thought-it-was-a-honeymoon” trip to Brussels, I’ve been pleasantly surprised to learn that Belgium’s fame extends far beyond just incredible chocolates. Did you know many well-known brands that we often associate with France actually originated here in Belgium? And those famously delicious fries? They’re Belgian too, perfected through a unique double-frying technique, a tradition stemming from a linguistic mix-up with French-speaking Belgium. Wandering through the city, we encountered family-run businesses rich with history, passed down through generations. It’s been inspiring to meet artisans dedicated to the highest standards of their crafts, preserving a legacy of quality and passion. A huge thank you to @directwaychauffeuring and @hotelamigobrussels for their exceptional hospitality, and to @wolfers1812 for a deeply meaningful anniversary gift that brought me to tears. We also discovered that the @baobabcollection we use at home is another proud Belgian brand!
