Kerry Butler Instagram – What an honor to step into Ruth Coker Burks’ shoes for 29 hours. Thank you so much Susan Stroman for giving me the opportunity to tell this incredibly inspiring story by Richard Oberacker and Robert Taylor. Ruth is a Christian single mom, who sees the hypocrisy in her own faith (I have gone through that same journey) and feels called to step out of her comfort zone and help those dealing with Aids, and in return she gets the family she never had. Religion can be beautiful, it can also be dangerous. It can be used to separate and divide us. I hope we always choose love, and lead with our conscience.
