After the tragic death of their son Ty in 2010, Laura and Kirk founded Stand for the Silent to be a voice for our children. On November 10th tragedy struck again when Laura had a brain aneurysm requiring emergency surgery. There were numerous complications during surgery and in the following days. After being a voice for so many others for a decade, sadly, Laura has been silenced. In the early morning hours of November 14th, Laura went to be with her beloved son Ty. We are heartbroken. Kirk always said Laura was his heartbeat. Anyone who knows them, knew that to be true. As Kirk tries to navigate life without her now, we ask that you stand with Kirk and give what you can to help this man who has helped so many others.
