Official trailer for CIRCLE! Film coming in early 2021!
In a world of isolation, a wistful Ren and a witting Hex must find connection by deepening their form of communication across space and time with the guiding force of nature.
From Writer & Director, Florian Halbedl Hess:
“CIRCLE was conceptualized and written during the first few months of COVID-19 self-isolation in the spring and filmed in July of 2020. The Film/TV industry-wide shutdown made us think differently about the creative process. We filmed over four eight-to-ten-hour days with a shooting crew of twelve industry professionals who were itching to get back to work and to be creatively stimulated. In coordination with Worksafe BC’s recommendations and insight from an Actsafe review, we had our extensive COVID-19 Safety Plan (CSP) approved by UBCP/ACTRA, a proud accomplishment given that the new administrative process for producers, including those making short films like ours, was challenging and unprecedented. The story raises existential questions about solitude, loneliness and our need for human connection. Sometimes unusual and uncertain circumstances can enhance art and even push it to new heights.”
