Masaba Gupta Instagram – Before we step into a new year and a new season – I wanted to bring back our first ever bridal film with @kareenakapoorkhan that broke the internet in September 2023. After this film was released,it was all every single woman at an airport,cafe,store,on the internet spoke to me about. A woman at an airport – who was newly married sobbed and sobbed when she met me and thanked me for representing her and so many others. Shooting The Masaba Bride with Kareena was all I thought of for 6 months. What will her hair & makeup be like? Can we have a giant lampshade with fresh Mogra dangling from it ? How do we bring out her ever-so-relaxed,almost mysterious yet playful side? How do we light up her mystical eyes through the veil and have that be the opening of the film yet not have lighting that is so sharp that it takes away from the warmth of the world we were trying to create? The birth of a thought is one thing – but to have someone ( not just anyone but a bonafide superstar ) surrender to your thought is a whole other thing.Some of my best memories. And this song!
