Interview with the legendary Jonathan Cott about lyrics from Dark
Two years ago, the singer and actor @maya_hawke spent a few weeks visiting her younger brother at Brown University. After graduating from high school, Hawke had enrolled at Juilliard but dropped out after a year. “I had a real chip on my shoulder about it,” she said, of bypassing college. At Brown, however, she concluded she wasn’t missing much. “It made me see what I actually like about my own life,” she said. The experience led her to write the song “Missing Out.” For Talk of the Town, @rachsyme recently joined Hawke at band practice. Read more at the link in our bio.
