Megan Le Instagram – Hey PARENTS! In this household we love fights on film, but not fights about doing chores. My little one is almost 2 (🤯) and just loves order and routines and cleaning (I know, I know…FOR NOW). It’s so cute to watch and makes things so easy! (Trust me, I KNOW…for NOW). We’re starting to cobble together our philosophy on “assigned chores” vs. doing your part to help the family. My husband and I were each raised very differently from each other in this department. 🧹
I’m inclined to play the long game and foster cleaning not as a punishment or something we HAVE to do, but as taking care of the things we value. I’m not excited about a reward system, but I also haven’t been told NO yet about cleaning by one of them. 😜
Any tips, resources or success stories you’ve had towards getting your kiddos to help take care of the home without fights and threats? 🙏🏽
