My biggest birthday wish this year is that we all remember our humanity. Our empathy. For everyone.
I’m full of gratitude for the past year that has been one of the most authentic and aligned for me personally. A year of things dying away and new opportunities coming in. Thankful not mainly because of the obvious blessings but because it felt lived from my truth, my heart and I could see how things can fall into place when I allow myself to trust.
Simultaneously I’ve been waking up from nightmares for weeks now because my wish seems particularly unattainable at this time.
And so I keep reminding myself of the RUMI quote.
Thank you everyone who walked with me. Thanks for the laughters, the cries, the difficult conversations, the wordless joys, the kisses, the dances, the songs and the silence.
