Mita Vashisht Instagram – So deeply moved and honoured by the iconic Sai Paranjpe’s desire to cast me in her play ‘Jaswanti’ in Marathi, some years ago ( and later in a Hindi feature film…it was in the year 2008)
(I needed a month to master the language but we didn’t have that kind of time…how I regret my not having mastered Marathi from the minute I landed in Mumba in 1987i…I missed out on some incredible work with the most fabulous directors—Sai Paranjpye and later a Marathi film for Sumitra Bhave)
Later Sai cast me in the lead for a wonderful Hindi film which however the big or maybe no longer so big Hindi film producer endlessly delayed only to never let it happen eventually.
Dear Beloved Sai Paranjpe ji….my profound respect and love for you and to you…just being mentioned by you is an affirmation for me, of the highest value….
