Monique Coleman Instagram – ✨⛸️♥️ I haven’t taken a formal ice skating lesson in almost 2 months 🥺 With my industry being on strike most of the year & ⛸️ being SUCH an expensive passion, it was starting to feel irresponsible to pay for lessons without a clear financial plan — no matter how much I LOVE it. I was sad at first because I felt like I wasn’t learning anything new on my own, and I feared getting stagnant. However, in the last couple of weeks my attitude has completely shifted. Skating is as much about JOY and community as it is about learning new tricks! I’m SO thankful for friends like @what_are_yall_waiting_for who challenge me by inviting me to come PLAY!! Also, there’s something to be said for slowing down, not always being sooooo goal oriented and giving myself grace. While the list of things I want to be able to do continues to grow, so does my tenacity, persistence, patience, and determination — cuz I’m pretty sure l want to compete someday ⛸️😍🙌🏾✨💥 #mightymo #adultfigureskating
