This was in 2002, my first job in the industry ever: @therealeve Satisfaction Video shot in Philly! @hairbyfeanna heard Eve needed a stand in, so she took me to the audition and I booked it. As a stand in, you get hired to do just that: stand in for the artist/actor while the crew preps the lighting, sound, etc. I worked on the video for two days and then the director told me I could be in this basketball scene next to Birdman and Eve. The 16yr old in me was way too hype and I got paid really well for doing the job. You. Could. Not. Tell. Me. Nothing. Lol. I’m grateful for moments like this one. When I did this job, it didn’t feel like work and creatively I was getting my fix. When I left this set, I left knowing exactly what I wanted to do with my life. This job opened up so many doors and relationships for me. I’ll never ever forget. We gon hold it down for Illadel for life.
